PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - RUST-X VCI 601

VCI Coil Wrape is the premium corrosion inhibiting reinforced paper in the industry. VCI Coil Wrape provides ultimate corrosion protection for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It eliminates the need to stock a variety of papers for all the different types of metals and alloys you need to protect. Additionally, it is non-toxic and doesn’t contain any nitrites, phosphates, silicates or other hazardous compounds.

VCI Coil Wrape is made from the highest quality neutral natural kraft paper laminated with HDPE Fabric and has excellent tear resistance. VCI Coil Wrape offers a barrier to water, oil and grease. There are no chemical concentrations to calculate, no chemical tanks or application system to maintain. Just wrap your products in the Coil Wrape, and fold edges together. Use adhesive tape as needed to hold paper folds in place. The VCI coating on the paper vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces to provide complete corrosion protection. The unique inhibiting action of the VCI forms a very thin and very effective protective layer that does not alter the appearance of products or require removal. Parts protected can be painted, welded, and soldered. The protective layer does not influence physical properties of most sensitive electrical components, including conductivity and resistance.

Volatile Chemicals coated on Natural Kraft Paper can provide protection of up to 10 YEARS in packaged condition.

Goods wrapped in or protected by RUST-X VCI paper are not affected by corrosion. The reason for this is that the air surrounding the metals protected with RUST-X paper, is very heavily impregnated with the inhibitors released from the protective paper.

The micro-moisture droplets become so heavily impregnated with corrosion inhibitors released from RUST-X VCI paper that these droplets themselves become rust preventives, and will not form corrosion on the metal surfaces. In effect corrosion cannot occur in vicinity of the VCI Paper.
